MEETINGS AND OFFICE AWAYDAYS
Available from early morning to late, our venue has been very popular for
these, giving you a private room suitable for up to around 25 people in a unique
location that could not be more different to the office environment. We of
course provide servings of tea, coffee, (biscuits and cakes too) and waters and
juices to your needs, and while many of the catering suggestions in this leaflet
are suitable, you could also order from our bar menu, or we can tailor dining
specific to your needs.
THE LOCKS – DRINKING CONSULTANTS
For reception and welcome drinks, toasts and drinking during dining or partying,
as your friendly local drinking consultants we offer quality, choice and
flexibility. Whether sparkling wines, champagnes, Pimms, Sangria or spiced fruit
punches on arrival, our great house wines, barrels of our award winning green
Jack ales, or just drinks over the well stocked bar throughout, there’s a
great time for you and your guests with one of our drinks packages.
THE FOOD
THE PORK ROAST
A popular choice among parties in the past, and great for indoor or outdoor
eating. Roast Waveney Valley local pork in a large bap with sausage meat
stuffing, apple sauce & local pork farmhouse sausage – served with
home-made coleslaw, classic home-made potato salad and mixed green salad.
BARBECUES
Venues don’t get more al-fresco than the Locks and it’s a real
pleasure to put together a barbecue for your party. We use wherever possible
local products, such as pork from the Waveney Valley, beef from the river
Hundred marshes and fish from Lowestoft. With dishes like apricot and mustard
glazed sticky farmhouse sausages, horseradish or chill burgers, king prawn satay
with lime and chilli, yakatori/barbecue/Cajun/tandoori chicken, spicy fish
parcels or chilli/garlic Portobello mushrooms all served with fresh crusty
breads and a selection of salads, and the great outdoors of the Waveney Valley
and the legendary Locks Inn, a barbecue here is a fantastic party.

HOT BUFFETS AND SPECIAL MENUS
There’s probably not a country’s cuisine style that we can’t turn
into a great buffet meal for your guests. We prefer to design these personally
for you; ones we’ve had great fun with for previous parties have included a
mixed paella and tapas theme, Indian and Asian buffets, and English country
cooking dinners. Just ask how we can help you!
DESSERTS
If there’s any room left after one of our spreads, a selection such as local
strawberries and cream, cakes, cheesecakes, or a cheeseboard will finish the
meal off nicely.
