Cockermouth --  About Us     -- Our history     -- A map to find us

The Truth is one and the same always, and though ages and generations pass away, and one generation goes and another comes, yet the word and power and spirit of the living God endures for ever, and is the same and never changes.
Margaret Fell

There is a Quaker Meeting in Cockermouth at which visitors are always welcome. The Meeting House is situated in Kirkgate, close to the centre of the town. Cockermouth is a historic market town town situated on the north west edge of the Lake District National Park.

Meeting for Worship takes place every Sunday at 10.30 a.m. and all are welcome, not only members but anyone who wishes to enjoy the quiet of a Quaker Meeting. Enquirers are no less welcome; their questions will be answered but there will be no pressure to take the connection further. Children are welcome on the first Sunday in the month
