The 2015 Carlisle Festival will consist of seven events. Three of these will be on one Friday and two Saturdays in April(25th), May(30th) and June(13th), followed by a weekend in July(10th-12th). Most of the events will be held in the Cathedral by kind permission of the Dean & Chapter.

The first concert will be a performance of Alexander L'Estrange's Ahoy!; then we will have what has been described as the world's funniest string quartet - Graffiti Classics; next come world-famous soprano Dame Emma Kirkby with lutenist Jakob Lindberg; and then on a Friday Harry Christopher's 'The Sixteen'.

Once again we shall be holding a composition competition for Cumbrian schoolchildren. In the last three years some really excellent music has resulted from this event. On the evening that day we shall be having a choral concert by the Festival Chorus.

Further details of these events are given below, with links through to fuller details which appear on separate pages  - click on the Event number.
