The series of Music:Live@Lunchtime usually held in Carlisle Cathedral on Tuesdays in the spring and in the autumn have temporarily ceased due to noisy building work taking place nearby at The Fratry.

Carlisle Music Society (formerly the North Cumbria Recitals) organises a series of six chamber music concerts in St. Cuthbert's Church - details are available - here

The Sands Centre in the past has organised a series of orchestral concerts featuring British and foreign orchestras. Unfortunately these have ceased due to withdrawal of grant support. However there is a supporting group called 'The Friends of Classical Music at The Sands' which is organising trips to the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester Details - here.
The City of Carlisle Orchestra is an amateur/ semi-professional symphony orchestra. They perform three concerts a year. Click here for further details.
Abbey Singers is an amateur/ semi-professional mixed choir. They perform a wide range of choral music. Click here for further details.
