Welcome to my website.  I am Mahersh Shah and I can offer you a professional translation service.  I have substantial experience both as a translator and as an engineer (before I became a translator).  I also take a keen and active interest in ecological subject areas.

I am:
- a Qualfied Member (MITI) of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting,
- a Member (MCIL) of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, and
- a Member (MIET) of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Translation Experience:

Professional Translator since 2000:

•

 Freelance translator since 2004

•

 3 years as a staff translator with RWS Translations Ltd. before turning freelance
   
Translation Qualifications:

•

 MA with Distinction in Technical and Specialised Translation, from the University of Westminster

•

 MCIL - Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists
  • MITI - Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting
   
Engineering Experience: 2 years as a professional network support engineer with Madge Networks Ltd, providing support to French-speaking clients in particular.
   
Engineering Qualifications:

•

 MEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, from the University of Bristol.

(The 3rd year of this 4-year course was spent at a French Grande Ecole, namely the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Bretagne)
