Sun 7th 6-8pm CAFE CHURCH at EVESHAM: The theme for the month will be
POWER: What is it? From where does it come? Does it corrupt? Does
everyone have power? How do we use or misuse it? What has God got to do
with it? Come to think, to talk, to pray, to worship, to meet and to
eat from a little after 6.00 until a little before 8.00.

Mon 8th 07.30pm ”WHAT MAKES US TICK”: A series of Lent Group
meetings held in our Annexe. Arranged by the “Stratford Churches
Together”, there will be an exploration of the particular
characteristics and mission of each of the member churches. No doubt
there will be plenty of interest and lively discussion so come along
and participate.

Thu 11th 3.30pm GAMES at CEDAR LAWN: These afternoons are
planned on a monthly basis. Can you please spare a little of your time
to play games with the Residents of Cedar Lawn? As always the two
hours or so are a rewarding
experience.

swap your usual goods for fair-trade goods.
Oranges, bananas, sugar, tea, coffee, chocolate, tee shirts etc. etc.
Sat 13th 4-5.30pm A CELEBRATION OF MOTHERS: You are invited to
Special Afternoon Tea for all ladies at the Stratford-upon-Avon
Methodist
Church.
Bring along your mum, daughter or a friend.
Thur 18th am: SPRING CLEANING: Ladies, you are warmly
invited to an interesting morning at 1, Saxon Close when we will be
helped by Marion of Kleeneze to become inspired to tackle Spring
Cleaning! Or just enjoy coffee and company and raise some money for the
Church Redevelopment Fund. Please let me know if you would like to

Sat 20th 10.30am CEDAR LAWN SPRING FAIR: We look forward to seeing YOU,
not only for coffee and a hot cross bun, but also for a time to chat
and buy cakes and marmalade. Margaret Newton would be
pleased to receive cakes, biscuits or donations for “The Friends” cake
stall. Perhaps also, bring a book or two and/or buy a book or two
at 50p. each.
Sat 20th 10am-4pm BROADWAY METHODIST CHURCH: You are invited to
view their renewed church on this, their first Anniversary Open Day.
Whilst there you can meditate in the prayer area, learn about the “Take
a Pew” project and take a cup of tea or coffee in the hall
afterwards.
Sun 21st 10.30am BROADWAY METHODIST CHURCH: invite you to their 198th
Anniversary service. The preacher will be the Superintendent Minister,
the Rev. Robert Powell.
FURTHER NOTICES
Thu APRIL 8th 07.00-09.30pm “WHO MOVED THE EGG?” Saltmine Productions
will be staging this one day Easter Panto in the Civic Hall.
Tickets, price £5, are available currently from Jubilate or the Civic
Hall Box Office.
A good night out during Easter Week to take neighbours and friends who
may not yet be Christians.
A Prayer from Evesham
At Evesham, during Lent, we are focussing on a different part of the
World Church each week. We are hearing about Haiti, the Gambia, the
work of Fair Trade, Tanzania, India and Europe. Please join us in our
prayers for the people of these countries and their particular concerns
and for the work of the World Mission Committees throughout the Circuit
and the Connexion.
