JMA

Some of you have still to receive your envelope for this quarter and I am sorry it is late but Christmas, Visitors and Colds have hampered deliveries. I need to tell you that our next JMA Lunch will be on the February 5th and will be combined with the monthly Friendship Lunch. We are usually quite flexible about knowing if you are coming or not but this time it is vital that you either ring me to reserve a place or sign the list in Wesley Hall. This will also be a traditional Friendship lunch - not soup and baked potatoes.

YEAR OF THE BIBLE (1611-2011)

Thanks to Rex for inserting the Bible quiz questions every week as part of the King James Bible Celebrations. Many thanks also to those who worked on the 1611-2011 banners and the 'I Am' banners which were all part of the Years Celebrations. We were also able to put together an exhibition of different translations of the Bible in the church and then it was moved into a shop front in Wood Street. The Time Line of events from the Bible was also part of our own celebrations.

Thanks to everyone who contributed photos of themselves reading the Bible in different locations.

John Teare sends the following news for the Circuit

I have received an e-mail message from Stephen Mullings in Jamaica
having told him that he will shortly be receiving approx.£1970
following our recent efforts finalising the Circuit Jamaica Appeal.
Stephen said -
That is brilliant John and I am over the moon. So now I can get the
project of getting a new building for the Balmagie Basic school off the
ground in earnest. Thank you so much for your interest and dedication
to the cause.
Thank you to everyone who contributed by coming to the picnic or by
sending donations. Special thanks as well to our friends at Mickleton
who contributed so generously.
