Welcome to our church

Methodism was born in joyous song and it is that joy in Christ which we share with friends and visitors.  At the conclusion of  morning services (10:30), visitors especially are most warmly invited to join us in our church hall (the Wesley Hall) for tea/coffee and who knows, some biscuits.  See regulars for the latest notices detailing weekly variations.

Redevelopment Scheme

Our property scheme has now been approved by the Birmingham District Property Committee and we are proceeding with seeking grants from the Birmingham Methodist District and the Methodist Connexion.

Now is the time for US to start raising funds.
  • A series of fund raising events have been planned throughout 2010. These include:
  • Saturday 6th February - China Entertains.
  • Saturday 6th March - Wilson Roberts' Concert
  • Friday 23rd April - St. Georges Day an Old Englishmeal and entertainment
  • Saturday 29th May - American Choir

Other events include a Chinese meal at the Ripple Cafe", a car treasure hunt, a pre Christmas Bazaar and a murder mystery evening with a meal organised by Avonside Players.

Watch the notices and Reporting for times, dates and more details ! Some of the boards in Wesley Hall will be reorganized so there can be a display for fundraising and events

Aims of website

The aim of this website is to give a upbeat and accurate view of our church to visit and to allow regular attenders to see what is going on. Feed back on whether this is being achieved would be most welcome.

If you find the prospect of coming to church a bit daunting go to the Visitors page as a starting point

Our part in Methodism

The Church is part of the national and international Methodist church with annual Conference being the main decision making body. Locally we are democratic - Church Council is governing body, members elect stewards and church council representatives Stewards are responsible with minister for exercising leadership over whole range of church activities. (For more details see: The Official Methodist Website).

We are part of the Stratford On Avon and Evesham Circuit which belongs to the Birmingham District Birmingham Methodist District Website).
