Welcome to Visitors
Visitors are
especially welcome at our church. Our
church is opposite Holy Trinity Church (http://www.stratford-upon-avon.org/). From any of the theatres in
Stratford,
continue down Waterside, away from the town centre.
This runs into Southern lane, at the end of which
you need to
turn left. Carry on until you reach the second entrance to Holy Trinity
and the Methodist Church is opposite this.To locate the church try
using this street map or multimap.
Please
be aware that these maps are postcode based (CV37 6BG) and point to the
general area. Places with the same postcode include Hall's
Croft
and Holy Trinty church.
For details of
our services see services page. For
details of physical access to the
building such as parking and entrances to the church, see the facilities page . Also see this page
for details of the Coach Party Teas that can be provided.
New to our Church?
We would like to
meet you. Please fill
in one of the cards (that look similar to the home page of this
website) in the pews and hand to one of the door stewards. Or of
course use the information on the contacts page.
When you come
into the building,
someone will greet you at the door and usually offer you a copy of the
weekly notices and a service sheet. The format of all services
should be such that it is clear what is happening. If it is not,
we have got something wrong, so please tell us.
Most services last about 60 minutes
or a little longer if communion is
involved. We have a monthly timetable for services detailed on
the service page. Someone new to church-going may prefer to come
to a family service for their first experience as these are very
informal occasions. Note: if you need to leave during a service,
no-one will complain if you slip out discreetly.
All morning
services provide crèche
facilities. Also see the children's page.
Should you need
the "facilities",
toilets can be found at the back of the church near the side entrance.
You are not
expected to contribute to
the work of the church (that's our responsibility) so don't feel
embarrased to pass the collection plate on without putting anything in
it. Many church members contribute directly through their bank accounts
so you won't be the only one just passing the plate on.
After the Sunday
morning services, tea
and coffee are served in the Wesley hall to the right hand side of the
church (when looking at the building)
Thanks to Penrith Methodist Church for its inspiration
for this page.
