STORYTELLING is as old as language itself. Telling stories encourages the listener’s imagination, kindles creativity and is invaluable in stimulating interest in books and reading.

Pete's work in Libraries includes:
  • Space Hop Reading Challenge Launch - Carlton-in-Lindrick and Carlton Libraries, Nottinghamshire, 2010
  • Malton Food Festival - Malton Library, North Yorkshire, 2010, 2009
  • National Storytelling Week - Widnes Library, Halton, 2005
  • Reading Adventure Project, Liverpool Central Library, 2003
  • Summer Splash - storytelling at Dovecot, Lee Valley, Toxteth and Garston Libraries, Liverpool, 2002
  • Telling Tales Storytelling Festival - Lostock Hall and Leyland Libraries, Lancashire, 2001
  • Rotherham Children's Book Festival - Dinnington and Herringthorpe Libraries, 2001
  • Family Learning Weekends - Burnley, Clitheroe and Colne Libraries, Lancashire 2001; Heald Green Library, Stockport 1999
  • Rugby Literature Festival - Rugby Library 2000

Pete is equally at home telling to adults as he is to children. His library sessions can include follow-up activities. Storytelling workshops for library staff are also available - see
INSET & Workshops page for more information.
